About Us

About Our Town

The Town of Nectar was formed in 1976. Our founding fathers wanted to provide clean potable drinking water, which was becoming short in supply to our community. This is what prompted the incorporation.

The town offers:

  • A well-maintained park with three ball fields, a walking track, basketball courts, a pavilion with water and power access, and a playground for youngsters with surrounding room for expansion
  • A community center, which seats approximately 60 people
  • Our own well, water department and treatment plant. Employed with the Town of Nectar are two grade II water operators, currently serving more than 1,070 customers
  • A volunteer fire department with 17 volunteers, one fire engine, one brush truck, and an advance life support rescue department
